Ongoing Studies:
The practice of mindfulness focuses on relaxation and acknowledging thoughts in a nonjudgmental way.
Neural Mechanisms of Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
We want to understand how two different online Mind-Body therapies can be used to improve PTSD symptoms. Both therapies, MBCT and Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) are known to help people with PTSD. We want to learn how they work to put together better treatments for people.
Eligibility
Right handed adults ages 18-72.
Michigan residents with a current diagnosis of PTSD.
Compensation
Up to $320 for commitment to the entire study.
